Desp ite of its adv antage s over other algor ithm s, it w ill introduce ar tifacts in calculating jo in t h istogram w ith conven tional partial vol um e ( PV ) interpolation. In th is paper, an expand PV in terpolation algorithm w ith Bspline is propo sed to reduce the interpo lation artifacts. A hybr id search strategy com b ined g enetic algorithm w ith Pow ellsm ethod is used to find the optmi um value. Expermi ental resu lts indicate the p roposed algorithm can ach ieve better accuracy and robustness.
