Unit6 Shopping A Let’s learn 人民路小学 周玮 ⅠAnalysis of the Teaching Material This unit is based on unit5 My Clothes and unit3 Weather. In this unit, students will learn more knowledge about clothes and how to buy things. In this unit, students will learn new words about things we usually use and we should wear clothes according to the weather. ⅡTeaching aims and demands To teach the students the new words about things we used in different weather. To teach the students the new words and sentences to be used in shopping. To teach the students we should wear clothes according to the weather and prepare things before we travel. ⅢTeaching Important and Difficult Points To make the students master the new words: sunglasses, umbrella, scarf, gloves. To make the students know how to communicate with the assistant. It may be difficult to make the students make dialogue with the new words and the new sentences. ⅣTeaching Preparations PPT, a computer, a tape recorder and stickers. ⅤTeaching Procedures Step 1 Warm up 1. Let’s chant T: What’s the weather like today? Ss: It’s hot/warm/sunny… T: Can I wear my sweater today? Can I wear my coat today? Ss: No. T: No. We must wear clothes according to the weather. Now let’s chant. Before that, I want to divide you into 2 groups. Boys are in group 1, and girls are in group 2. OK? I will give a star to each group if you do it well. Now let’s chant. 2. Listening Practice T: You all did very well. We all know that we should wear the right clothes according to the weather.
