Because economic growth guides prosperity and slump of a country’s economy and is closely related to people’s daily life.However, an economic model and the qualitative and quantitative analysis is necessary todevelop the economy rapidly and stably, which provides a theoretical baking for making a scientific and rational economic decision, and plays an important and direct role in controlling the economic growth macroscopically. The purpose of this paper is to apply the time series analysis to the GDP of Henan Province at different stages based on available data, and establishes the time- series models, and predict the GDP of Henan Province in the next eight years with the establishded time-series model . And then we evaluates on the overall competitiveness of Zhongyuan region with the multivariate statistical methods by comparing economic status of Zhongyuan with the economic status of others’ regions, and find out the relations between Zhongyuan’s GDP and the national GDP. Finally, we analyze the three major industries of Zhongyuan and give some conclusions and advicese for the economic growth. This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the research content of this article, and the status of relevant research at home and abroad. The second chapter gives some of the professional knowledge that will be used in this paper.In the third chapter a time-series model for the GDP of Zhongyuan is established.
