On Application of Situational Teaching Method to English Reading Teaching in Senior High School Submitted to School Of Foreign Languages of Ludong In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements For the Degree of Bachelor of Arts June 1, 2011 摘 要: 目前, 传统的阅读教学模式已不能适应高中英语阅读教学目标及要求,因此改革现有英语阅读教学模式势在必行。本文首先以文献综述法分析了情景教学法的定义、教学原则及其理论基础等,然后主要探讨如何在英语阅读教学中创设情景实现英语阅读教学的目的,并就情景设置提出一些见解。研究表明,情景教学能够有效地运用于英语阅读教学中,教师通过在阅读教学中合理设置情景能够有效地提高学生的阅读理解能力。 关键词:情景教学法;阅读教学;高中 Abstract:Nowadays,traditional reading teaching can not meet the rrequiremnets and objectives of junior high English reading. Therefore,it is of great importance to elaborate on reforming traditional teaching methods.Based on the review of the definition, principles and theoretical basis of situational teaching method, the author mainly focuses on the implementation of situational teaching method by creating situations accordingly in reading class in senior high school. At the same time, the author gives some suggestions on implementing situational teaching method. The study shows that situational teaching method can be effectively applied to English reading teaching in senior high school, and teachers can create proper situations to improve students’ reading ability.
