Do you remember how to say “星期五” in English? ( Friday) “星期六” ( Saturday) “星期天” ( Sunday) We’ve learned these three days of a week before. Do you know where did the seven days of a week come from and why we call them? (No) And how to say the other words of a week? This is what we are going to learn of Module9 Unit2. He will sleep on Sunday.

2. Please look at this word “ after” , Saturday is the day after Friday, and Sunday is the day after Saturday. Do you know what is the meaning of “ after”?(在…之后)
Ok, please look at this sentence, “ What day is after…” and the answer is : “ It’s …”
Means:“在哪一天之后的那一天是哪一天?”“是…”
EG: What day is after Friday? It’s Saturday.
What day is after Saturday? It’s Sunday.
T: But do you know what day is after Sunday?
S: It’s Monday.
T: Good, Please at this word “ Monday” (将单词卡片贴在黑板上)
Then teach them “ Tuesday” “ Wednesday” “ Thursday” like this.
3. Practise: What day is after Monday? It’s Tuesday. And so on.
Then tell them : In china, Monday is the first day of a week. But in the western countries, the first day is Sunda
