Take a comprehensive view of the development trend of international exhibition economy, Asia will become the hotspot of the world exhibition economy, and China is very hopeful to become Asia exhibition economy center. The layout of city exhibition economy in our country is formed, with a cooperation as well as competition relationship in different exhibition cities, to the city characteristics itself cany on exhibition economic research have important theoretical and realistic meanings. In this article , by researching the related theories of the exhibition, combining the development statas in que of the Harbin exhibition economy and existing problem, and in combining the past study result of other people, it is established the Chinese city exhibition economic competitiveness evaluation index system, and throuph this evaluation system to carry on the systemic contrast analysis and evaluation to the selecting 7 representative cities in 2004, namely Peking, Guangzhou, Xian, Dalian, Shenyang, Changchun, Harbin, so we can more accurately knew the competition ability of the Harbin exhibition economy. Then, this article puts forward the choice of the development mode of Harbin exhibition economy, and the corresponding counteiplan and suggestions also be given. For the studying method, this article apply substantial evidence study to combine together with the theories study methode, metered research with nature determined study method combined together.
