Abstract
In todays business world that changes rapidly, change has become a necessary business behavior. Successful enterprises are those pre-active ones. They always consider what should be done and why, adapt themselves to changes and benefit from them. In such an environment, one of the important issues that enterprises and managers have to face is change management.
Different enterprises should select the most suitable change strategies according to their own conditions. In general,the extreme strategies should be avoided. On the base of a main strategy,an enterprise could employ other suitable strategies as supplements, with regards to its special conditions. On the whole, the change should emphasize not only on financial results, but also on long-term development of the organization. The change could start with partial changes, but comprehensive changes are necessary if the enterprise wants to solve basic problems. The speed of change must be fast enough, but not in a hasty‘ And to see the ultimate success of the change, the enterprise has to experience a long change process.
With the direction of good strategies, enterprises and managers still need right tactics to manage changes. There are many different ideas regarding change tactics. For instance, some scholars raised a three-step model, and some others made up some directive principles and listed typical mistakes that should be avoided. In this essay,the author summarizes the main points of eight tactics, which are stated in eight sections. The eight tactics are: analyzing and decreasing expected resistances, building shared visions, creating pressures’ maintaining powerful leadership, motivating participants, setting up plans’ promoting changes through communication and designing a change system.
