Development and usage of renewable energy is blooming in western industrialized country. This paper analyzes development of the green power market with the theory model of five competition forces. For the positive outside effect, social supply of green power is inadequate. So market mechanism and government power must be combined to solve the problem of green power development. Acknowledgment and price are the two important factors influencing customer’ s purchasing behavior. Since low price and monopoly of sales channel, conventional power has great substitute function to green power. But with the reform progress of electric power market, green power begins to show its differentia. Green power generator equipment has the most important influence within five competition forces, if its cost can be lowered down, green power will be more competitive. So at present, the development strategy of green power should put emphasis on standardization, market rules establishment, differentia and target customer focusing.
