When installation is done with the 2-U or 3-U patch panel, the lid of the unit can be used as a work station for the terminating tools. When mounting the slide brackets in the rack, screws are inserted into the middle holes. The easiest way to manage and terminate the fibers is to run the proper cable through the port on the patch panel, then create a type of assembly line. Cut and remove all of the jackets, remove the kevlar, put on your boots, then begin to terminate each line seperately and routing them into the patch panel one at a time. Be sure to pull the cables out of the port prior to the termination process, as the connector is locked into place from the rear of the panel, not the front. If you do make the mistake, simply disassemble the connector and carefully pull the socket fiber holder back through the port and reassemble it on the other end. All fiber management in the patch panels is accomplished by managing the buffer tubes only. T
