Ecological thoughts of Marxism, obviously is of great significance to cultivate college students correct consumption values that not only provides rich theoretical thinking, and pointed out the direction for its rational practice. This article is divided into five parts. The first part is introduction; mainly introduced the research background and research status, and explains the Marxist ecological thought and the basic concepts, such as consumer behavior, at the same time, this paper research idea. The second part, namely “Marxist ecological thought of meaning to cultivate college students rational consumption”. Main ecological thoughts of Marxism to understand the main content, and the Marxist ecological thought formed on college students consumption concept of rational value were analyzed. The third part, on the contemporary college students rational consumption status and causes of analysis; First of all, through on-the-spot investigation, specific studies on the current situation of college students rational consumption, secondly to summarize and investigate the situation analysis of which the harm of irrational consumption, Finally from the society, school, family and college students personal, etc., analyses the reasons of irrational consumption of college students.
