万方数据 万方数据 Abstract The ongoing knowledge economy has brought a greater economic value.Countries in the world have thus laid more importance on the protection of intellectual property rights (IPR) and well-known trademarks ,as a main part of this campaign,have drawn additional attention. The Paris Convention (Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property),proposed the protection of well-known trademarks a century ago and various countries have tightened up such efforts since then.The protection of trademarks is now an international issue. China ,because of historical reasons,legs behind western developed countries in terms of international protection of well-known trademarks.However,it has put more efforts on it since reform and openning-up.The legislation on well-known trademarks starts from nothing and related legal protection system has been established.But a lack of practice has induced various problems ,resulting in a negatively serious impact on the development of our country. In 2014, Chinas new Trademark Law was put into effect.It provides further regulation on the protection of well-known trademarks,a landmark on the development of well-known trademarks protection of our country. This paper,starting from the root of the protection of well-known trade marks—international conventions in this area, combined with such aspects as current legislation,judicature and administrative law enforcement,will discuss the status quo of such protection in our country,and the significance of our nation’s strenthened efforts on it.In analysing the status quo of the protection of well-known trademarks of our nation ,it will point out main problems our nation faces during the protection process.The paper will try to find out answers on such problems by taking example of advanced experience in well-known trademarks protection of the federal government and the states,and on the basis of our national conditions,put forward a feasible method for our nation’s wel
