In the trend world which people pursue individual character and reveal a distinctive fashion ladies clothing , following the new trend is becoming one of the daily works for women who love beautiful. However, today that under a big industrial production,people wearing the same popular clothes are frequent, even the starts who only wear couture clothing are often met. So it requires the designer to found more and more better design elements around ours life, addition for personalized clothing design. And application of the blue calico in the clothing design can solve this problem more or less.First of all, blue calico will split natural in bigger mortar block after cleaning resist, and the indigo liquid permeates fabric leaving the natural grain appearance. This hand-make dyeing makes the natural grain appearance in ever-changing, but it can’t be made by machine, it is the charm of blue calico. Second, blue calico has a variety of designs and moral culture what can provide more design elements for a variety of fashion design. In the background that fashion design no boundaries, more and more Chinese tradition elements are showed in fashion shows, and they are accepted by more and more people. In this paper, the author deeply research the element through the Chinese tradition elements that have been applied into the modern ladies’ clothing successfully, then concluded the methods that the Chinese tradition elements are applied to ladies’ clothing’s color, pattern, direct graft and so on.
