RECONE PROCEDURE FOR CONE LOUDSPEAKERS  MODELS This instructions is prepared for the following models: TOOLS AND SUPPLIES TOOLS AND SUPPLIES REQUIRED Soldering iron, solder, glue, plastic spacer, razor knife, tweezers, masking tape, epoxy glue (NOT SUPPLIED), cloth rags, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), cotton swabs, and, if possible, audio oscillator and amplifier. MATERIALS SUPPLIED Tube of Beyma glue (blue color), Latex (white color), Plastic spacer, Moving parts, gaskets, dust cap. Unsolder the old voice coil leads from terminals. Using razor knife, remove old cone-coil assembly, and clean with MEK the surfaces, where suspension and surround will mount, of old parts and glue. Fold a piece of masking tape lengthwise around a piece of cardboard (70 mm x 25 mm x 1 mm), with adhesive side exposed and insert it in the air gap and rotate. Repeat this until tape remains clean when withdrawn. Check gap with magnifying light. Clean top plate and magnet of any debris. Using the tube of Beyma glue supplied, apply a bead of glue on frame surfaces where suspension and surround will mount, and also over the spider and surround. Wait for 3 minutes. Insert the plastic spacer into the new voice coil assembly, allowing overhang 10-12 mm below bottom of voice coil. Slide spacer tube over the pole piece and down into gap, making sure tinsel leads on assembly are aligned properly with terminals on frame.
