In the year 2004, I began to give teachers from different places in China teachers’ training courses. All about teachers’ training courses In the first three years of these teachers’ training courses, I tried my best to explain what I thought in my English teaching career and how I prepared an English lesson. Unfortunately, I believe I was a failure. Teaching and teacher speaking will never achieve a good result. This is also the case when we give our students English lessons. All about teachers’ training courses We teach and teach, say the same thing that we think is important again and again. Unfortunately, our students cannot feel that what we teach is important. They don’t listen to us. Then we become angry. “Why don’t you listen to me? This is important!” we say to our students. “But I think your class is boring. Moreover, I cannot understand it!” All about teachers’ training courses So this is what we are going to deal with in this teachers’ training course. And I don’t think I should give you this course in this way. I will not speak, say what I think is important to you for one day and a half. Instead, we are going to talk. We are going to discuss different kinds of lessons, and methods and teaching techniques used in these lessons. After each part, discussions will be held. Teachers can talk freely about what they think about whether the teaching methods and activities are appropriate.
