It is a day to promote the earth’s environment. Earth Day was founded in the year 1970. What should we do to celebrate Earth Day? Here are ways that we all can take part in our environment issues by going green for one day and help make a change. Eat organic foods. Eat healthy organic foods which don’t contain artificial chemicals and preservatives (防腐剂). You must be aware of what is in our food products and make a stand against pesticides (农药) sprayed on crops. Try eating organic fresh fruits and vegetables on this day and you might like what you eat and make every day an Earth Day. Save energy while saving money.Start to replace your incandescent (白炽的) .Light bulb with a LED light bulb. By doing this you are saving energy and money. If everyone would do this just for one day, imagine the savings across the world. Save water.Using less water when taking showers will not only reduce water usage but help save on heating bills. You can reduce your water consumption (消耗量) by installing (安装) a low-flow shower head. Collect rain water to water your garden and yard if possible. Use green cleaning products.Help the environment by using cleaning products that are environmentally safe. Most green cleaning products can be found on the shelves of the supermarket.They are good for the environment and also good for our health. We can all celebrate Earth Day by taking these steps for green living.
