Intended to facilitate their cultural exchanges, the course aims to let students have a correct grasp of basic knowledge, basic ideas and basic thought of aesthetics, comprehend how mankinds aesthetic activities began and developed as well as the forms of aesthetic experience; identify the differences in aesthetic thought between the East and the West; recognize the position and significance of aesthetic activities in man’s life.
