Business cards are cards bearing business information about a company or an individual. They are shared during formal introductions as a convenience and a memory aid. A business card typically includes the giver’s name, company affiliation and contact information such as street addresses, telephone number(s), fax number, e-mail addresses and website. It can also include telex, bank account, tax code. Business cards are frequently used during sales calls or visits to provide potential customers with a means to contact the business or representative of the business. 2. How can you write effective emails? Email is an integral part of modern business communication. Email is a quick and easy means of communication and it is always necessary to remember the simple rules of etiquette and keep your emails professional. To write an effective email, you can follow the steps: a) write a meaningful subject line to attract your reader’s attention; b) keep the message focused and readable, skip lines between paragraphs and don’t type in all-caps; c) use the least attachments; d) identify yourself clearly by including your name, occupation, and any other important identification information; e) don’t flame and take a break if you find yourself writing in anger; f) proofread; g) respond promptly so as to appear professional and courteous; h) show respect and restraint. Always keep your business emails concise and use proper English and edit your email accordingly. 3. How do you write a farewell letter? Letters of farewell can be used for both personal and business reasons. Yet, writing a farewell letter is really difficult. If you may have a friend or a family member, for example, who is moving home away from your locality, you may have to write a farewell letter.
