Step one: Warm-up
1. Sing the song together: Fruit song. And change the other words they have learned.
2. Free talk each other: What’s this /that in English? It’s a/an…
3. Spell the words one by one.
Step two: Presentation
1. Show the knowledge tree of unit 3. Let the students to review the words and drills. Ask them to talk about the sentences they have learned.
2. Look at the knowledge tree of lesson 17, show the new words and drills to the students.
学习新单词、新句型。
组织学生学习新课文。
小组对话练习
加深词汇的记忆。

比赛拼单词。
组织学生进行课堂小结,复习巩固本课新知。

New drills:
What’s this? It’s a green pepper.
Is it green or red? It’s green.
3. Read the text by themselves. Let them find out the words they can’t read and understand. Then read again in pairs.
4. Let the students talk about the picture of the text. Answer the question: What are they talking about?
Step three: Practice
1. Tell the students how to use the new drill: Is it green or red? It’s green.
2. Help them to remember the new words:
eggplant green pepper tomato
3. Have the students read the dialogue in groups, and let the group leader checks who can’t read and who can recite.
4. Spell the words they have learned, make a spelling match: Who has best remember?
Step four: Revision.
