Teaching Plan for Unit 1 How can we become good learners ? Teaching aims and demands: 1, Help the Ss learn to talk about how to study in brief English. 2, Help the Ss develop the learning strategies: personalizing and role playing. 3, Help the Ss strength the idea : Good way is very important in the course of learning. Teaching procedures : Step 1:Review Greet all the Ss and make conversations with Ss randomly to talk about their view to English in class. Step 2:Warm-up Encourage some Ss to share their ways to learn English in class. At the same time ,write the answers on the Bb. Make sure there are no mistakes in their answers. Then have the Ss decide the best ways of learning English for themselves and report it in class with the reasons. Step 3:Practice Have the Ss retell the different ways to learn English in 1a carefully and check the ones they study for an English test. Then share their answers with their partners. Get the Ss to read the ways in 1a again and try to find the same : by doing sth. Make sure they know we can use the contracture to express the methods to learn some subjects. Encourage the Ss to add other ways they sometimes use and then share them in groups. Step4:Listening Have the Ss look at the 3 persons and know they are Mei Ping , Peter and Tony. Then listen to the conversation carefully and try to find how these Ss study for an English test and write letters from 1a above for each one. Repeat listening to check the answer. Then encourage the Ss to repeat the conversation after the model in 1c in pairs. Step 5: Task Get the Ss to read the questions and the answers in 2a and 2b carefully and try to match them.
