(Section A 3a-3b) Analysis of the teaching material The part is from Unit 7 of Grade Nine of Go For it. The topic of this unit is to talk about what you are allowed. This unit is aimed at should + be allowed to. It’s close to our daily life. The class is the third period of this unit, it is important to make good use of Passive Voice after the pre-learning. All the activities are helpful to raise Ss’ learning interests. And these activities can give Ss listening, reading and writing practice. At the same time, I’d like the Ss to set up a consciousness of “loving their families” through my teaching. It’s the basic for the students to learn the other contents of this unit. So it’s very important to learn this lesson well. Analysis of learners The students have learnt Passive Voice in Unit 5 and 6 and they know how to use the Passive Voice well. As we know, the students were interested in the topic about rules and families. So they will do well in this class. Teaching objectives 1.Knowledge objective: ①Key words phrases: tiny, cry, field, give… a hug, lift…up, badly, talk back, awful, teen, regret, poem, stay by… side, keep … from danger ②Key structure: should be allowed to, regret doing sth 2.Ability objective: Students can use the new words and the structure “should be allowed to”to talk about the rules. 3.
