课题 九年级英语 Unit 6 When was it invented? 一 教材分析 本单元要是围绕着“Inventions”这个话题,通过熟悉我们周围经常使用发明物的历史来开阔眼界,丰富自己的阅历,使自己养成勤于思考,善于总结的好习惯;学习并掌握被动语态的有关知识:学习Mind-mapping 的阅读策略。 二 教学目标 1. 知识与技能 1、掌握一般过去的被动语态。 2、学会谈论发明的历史,会使用以下基本句子: When was the car invented?? It was inverted in 1885 Who were they invented by?? They were inverted by… What are they used for? They are used for seeing in the dark. 2. 过程与方法 采用Role playing和Discussion 的学习策略。充分利用多媒体等教学设备,设计与本课话题相关的情景,如不同种类的发明,人物,实物等等。围绕着本单元的教学目标,设计一些贴近学生实际的教学任务,让学生谈论身边的发明如电话、电脑、汽车、茶叶、篮球以及一些当代发明的看法;让学生根据所学知识,自己进行创新设计等等。 3.情感态度与价值观 (1)、通过本单元学习使学生懂得人类的科学发明创造了丰富的物质文明。 (2)培养学生的创造发明的能力和愿望。 三 教学重点 (1) 一般过去时的被动语态结构和用法。 (2) Key words and key sentences (3) Remember the past participle of some irregular verbs 四 教学难点 (1) 一般过去时的被动语态的各种句式 (2)一些发明的使用以及对它们的描述。 教学内容和过程设计 Step 1 Warm-up 1. A contest: Guess who is he (she)? ?Teacher tells a story of a person and asks students to guess who he/she is. He was from America. ?He was one of the greatest inventors in the world. He was clever but he was in School for only 3 months. His mother taught him to read and write. He built his own chemical lab when he was a boy. His first invention was the automatic telegraph repeater(电报自动转发器) . He has many inventions in his life and some inventions have changed the world. 2. Talking about: The four greatest inventions in China. Teacher show some pictures of the four greatest inventions in China and talk about them with students. Step 2 Presentation 1. Learn some new words and expressions. 2. Groupwork: ? Section A 1a. ?
