Abstract
Abstract
With the close integration of biomedical engineering and integrated circuit, the bio-telemetry
monitoring isn’t restricted by non-contact and immovability. In fact, this research has been gradually
extended to the area of wearable and implanted devices. In order to amplify the weak bio-electricity
signal effectively, the amplifier in biomedical analog frond-end circuit should be designed with ultra low
high-pass corner frequency and variable gain to accommodate the low-frequency signals and the high
dynamic range. Thus, the study of controllable gain amplifier is a hot spot in the bio-telemetry
monitoring.
In order to amplify the ultra low frequency and weak bio-electricity signal, many designs of
bio-amplifier adopt off-chip huge capacitor, the threshold offset transistor and tunable pseudo-resistor to
obtain a low cutoff frequency that passes the bio-signal. However, each compensation will induce large
area consumption, additional biasing circuit and big non-linear distortion respectively. Thus, the study
of controllable gain amplifier has huge significance in the bio-telemetry monitoring. In this paper, a
controllable gain amplifier with better linear is designed for bio-telemetry monitoring system and it has
a tunable ultra low high-pass corner frequency and good agreement with many kinds of bio-electricity
signal. The main research contents and achievements are as follows:
(1) Base on diode-connected pMOS transistors, a fully differential capacitive feedback variable
