Teaching objectives:
1、Students are able to use phrases and sentences like love/enjoy, be crazy about, be interested in, My hobby is… to express hobbies and interests.
2、Use sentences like make sb. ..., bring sb…. to express reasons.
3、Use the writing skill of 1+n, n≤3
4、Write a short passage to describe interests.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1. Use 3 sentences to introduce your hobbies
Ask students to stand up and use 3 sentences to introduce their interests.
Show students the sentences and let them memorize.
I love/ enjoy doing…
I am interested in…/take an interest in…/have a strong interest in…
I get excited about… /am crazy about…/lose myself in…
I prefer to…/prefer doing to doing…
My hobby is doing…/Doing … is my favorite
Ask students to stand up one by one, and this time say more sentences about it.
Show students a picture and let them describe the picture.
Ask students to rewrite the given sentences.
Step 2. Show the feeling and express the reason
1. Give student a sentence: Watching TV is my favorite.
2. Ask students the reason why I like watching TV.
3. Show students examples of reasons and feelings
I like/ enjoy/ prefer/ …because…
I am interested in/…because…
It is relaxing/helpful/interesting…
It makes me feel happy /relaxed /excited /...
It brings me a lot of fun/happiness…
Doing ... is a good way to relax.
4. Practice the writing skill of 1+n
Step 3. Practice 1+n, n≦3
1. Ask students to write down the reasons why they like the hobbies.
