Teaching procedures
Step 1Revision
1.Show two pictures about the Mid-Autumn Festival and ask:
What festival did we just celebrate?
How did you celebrate it? I celebrated by doing…
Step 2 Lead in
2.Play a game called “Quick eyes” to review some other kinds of festivals.
Step 3 Presentation
Tell the students that there will be a Halloween party in a castle. If they want to go there , they have to pass three doors.
The first door: Incant a spell.
Knock, knock, trick or treat!

I’m a spider (蜘蛛), I’m a spider.

The second door: Win the memory competition. Read some explanations about the Halloween aloud and check their memory.
The third door: Win the listening contest. Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks.
The fourth door: Make up a dialogue about Halloween to see how much they have known about it.
