Task 1: Reading (10mins)
Ss are divided into groups and asked to read a passage to find out the object clauses.
设计理念:本环节让学生通过阅读的方式来学习语法,打破常规的沉闷的语法学习方式,更好地掌握宾语从句的结构形式。
Reading: Please find out the object clause of this passage.
Debbie and her friend Angela went to sunshine TV studios and watched a live TV quiz show. They thought it was so wonderful. There was their experience.
First, the director asked whether everyone was ready or not. Debbie was glad that she was not one of the contestants(参赛者). She thought the contestants must feel nervous at that time. But Angela wanted to be up there. Suddenly, one of contestants fell forward across the desk. Debbie saw this and felt worried that woman would faint (晕倒). Someone rushed to the woman and helped her away.
The director hurried from the control room and said they needed another contestant .The director asked if someone wanted to be on TV. Then, Angela raised her hand and went onto the stage. The audience started clapping.
The host, Lester Li introduced the three contestants and then started the quiz.
Angela was terrific. She smiled and looked relaxed .She answered the questions easily, and was soon ahead of the other two contestants. 25 minutes later, Angela was the only contestant left. If she answered six more questions correctly within one minute, she would win the big prize.
Angela answered five questions correctly and reached the last question. There was only ten seconds left. Lester asked where the Coliseum was. Angela said it was in Rome, Italy.
It was right; all the audience clapped and cheered .At last Lester told us Angela had won a big prize---a trip for two to the lovely island of Bali.
Task 2:Finish the tasks of the Object Clause and discuss(9mins)
Ss are told to finish the tasks on the paper first, and then discuss their problems in groups.
