Measure 33ml of non-ionic water into 100ml of beaker , then heat it to about 50℃. Weigh surface active agents and add it into beaker , stir for 10 min to dissolve them . 2. Weigh and add monomers into surfactant solution in beaker, stir for 30 min at 30℃ under vigorous agitation to emulsify them into homogenous emulsion . 3. Add 12 ml of emulsion mixture into three necked round bottom flask in hot water bath and then half of initiator solution ( 1 ~ 2 % potassium persulfate ) into flask , raise the temperature slowly until thermodynamic reaction begins . 4. Then add the emulsifying mixture at the rate about 0.2 ml per min , and add initiation solution to keep the temperature at 70~75℃ and reflux rate stable , copolymerization last for 100~120 min . 5. Raise the temperature of mixture in flask to 95~97℃ after addition is finished , the temperature should be constant for 30 min , or remove the monomer which has not reacted in the mixture by vacuum distillation . 6. Cool down the mixture to room tempera-ture , adjust acidity of emulsion to PH = 8 ~9 with 1:1 ammonia solution .
