Unit 7 It’s raining! Teaching Plan
One. Teaching guiding ideology
《New Curriculum Standard of English》clearly pointed out that teaching design must meet the needs of the students learning English to cause every student to become a physical and mental health, comprehensive development of people. So I combined with the learning content of this course creating the new dialogues and then act out. Get the students use the knowledge that they have learned to realize the knowledge transfer. Enhance the students’ value in activities and give full play to their initiative in learning.
Two. The analysis of teaching material
The main content of this unit is talking about the weather and describing what is happen. However, there are lots of listening and speaking practice in Section B ( 1a-1e). They could help the students learn more words about describing the weather and consolidate the present contionuous tense. Around the topic of this unit and with the teacher’s inspire revulsive, the students could use the existing information to promote learing this unit according to the real life. In this period, ask the students to learn to describe the weather by using the vocabulary that is related to the weather condition and talk about what the people are doing in different weather. It is a listening and speaking class. Mainly develop the students’ listening and speaking skills.
Three. The analysis of learning condition
The theme of this unit is talking about the weather and describing what is happening. The topic is closely related to our life so most of the students are interested in the content. They could actively speak different weather and what the people are doing in group work. Keep the process of teaching in a virtuous circle.
Four. The general objectives of teaching
A : Can understand some words about the weather and use the sentences they have learned to talk about the weather.
B: Can describe what the people doing .
C: Improve the students’ listening and speaking
