Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the wheel nut wrenches used to attach to and detach from wheel nuts for automobile (hereafter referred to as “wrenches”). Remarks 1 The normative references to this Standard are as follows. JIS G 3101 Rolled Steels for General Structure JIS G 4051 Carbon Steels for Machine Structural Use JIS Z 2245 Method of Rockwell and Rockwell Superficial Hardness Test 2 The unit and numerical values given in { } in this Standard are based on the traditional system, and are appended for informative reference. 2. Type Wrenches are classified according to their shapes into double-socket S type, single socket T type and single socket L type. 3. Shape and Dimensions The shape of wrenches shall be commonly as shown in Attached Figure 1, and dimensions be as shown in Attached Tables 1 to 4. 4. Quality 4.1 Appearance The appearance of wrench shall be as follows. (1) Wrenches shall be free from such defects as detrimental flaws, cracks, burrs, rust and winding, and be well finished.
