Step 2 Showing the teaching aims Show Ss the teaching aims , giving the introduction simply. Step 3 Lead-in Show Ss the guiding materials . 1. Play a game called: can or can’t Show some pictures on the PPT and ask the students: Can you … in the classroom/the school/at home? Ask the students to answer the questions. 2. Ask the students to make the dialogue by themselves. Can you …? Yes, I can. / No, I can’t. Write the dialogue example ,ask some groups to show the dialogues. Step 4 Comic strip 1 Discussion: Talk about the things what Superman can do in groups and present. Then talk about what dogs can do and can’t do. 2 Comic strip: First present some questions on the blackboard. 1) What does Eddie want to do? 2) Can dogs fly? 3) What happened to Eddie? 4) What do you think of Eddie? Then listen to the tape and answer the questions in groups. 3 Ask the students to give the meanings of these new words in
