AbstractVocabulary
Abstract
Vocabulary is the foundation of language teaching.It is an essential element for anyone who is in the initial process of language learning.children aged between three to five,while receiving language education depend on visual,audio and imitation of a guide to have a good grasp of the language.In this process of acquisition,the differences in ages of the children, the methods of exposure to information,retentiveness of memory and effect,acquisition method,and method of presenting vocabulary,play huge role and in general affect the child’S ability to internalize the vocabulary of such a language.In the Bina Bakti Christian Kindergarden School,Bandung Indonesia,Chinese language is the students’second language and it subject of utmost importance.
The Chinese language acquisition process presents series of problems.This paper launches a research into the difficulties and problems encountered in the process of acquiring vocabulary by the above mentioned school children and has adopted the past researches in the
education field.This paper is divided into 5 chapters:
Chapter one:Theoretical Basis.Description about children’S vocabulary acquisition theory and the main features of vocabulary presentation,profiles on early childhood learning, Chinese words and vocabulary presentation.
Chapter two:Is on Christian Bina Bakti school Chinese vocabulary acquisition research and experimental research.About survey design,survey methodology,and the use of materials,and describes in detail vocabulary presentation of noun,verb and adjective to children.
Chapter three:About the experimental process,describes three ways(perceptual, demonstration and operation)of presenting vocabulary and teaches the subjects Chinese nouns,verbs and adjectives.
Chapter four:Deals on the result and analysis of experiment of vocabulary acquisition of the students describing how the three methods of presenting vocabulary affected the Bina Bakti Kindergarden students
