Therefore, it is obvious that translation is a sister subject of contrastive linguistics. In this thesis, the differences between English and Chinese will be discussed in the perspective of interlingual study, namely grammatical, textual, and pragmatical ways. And finally, and most importantly, English-Chinese translation will be discussed in the perspective of contrastive linguistics.
