When it comes to the religion and philosophy of miao people in xiangxi, it seems that i have a lot to write, but it is hard to choose which to start first. After long thinking, I decided to begin with its religion. Here I intend to divide the report into two parts. One is its religion and belief. The major beliefs of Miao people include naturism, tuteng worship, ancestor worship and other original religion form. Another is its philosophy, culture and its characteristics. To sum up my opinion in one sentence, miao people’s religion is mysterious and interesting , and its philosophy is simple and innocent.
The Religion
Pantheism is a philosophical viewpoint which proposes that nature and god are equal so as to emphasize the supreme power of nature. It also hold the point that god exists in nature world and there is no other master of supernature or immaterial power. According to its ideas and contents, pantheism can be divided into two types. One is the pantheism with the tendency of naturism. It classifies god into nature. Another is the one tending to religional mysticism.
1.Nuoism
