* 九年级（全）Units 3-4 第一部分 教材知识梳理 考点精析 考点一 I suggest Water City Restaurant in Water World.我建议去水世界的水上饭店。（Unit 3 P19） 【用法归纳】suggest的用法 suggest (v.)建议→suggestion（n.）建议。具体用法如下： ◆suggest sth.(to sb.)意为“（向某人）建议某事”。如： I’ll suggest a new plan to my manager. 我要向经理建议一个新计划。 ◆ suggest doing sth. 意为“建议做某事”。如： He suggested going fishing this afternoon. 他建议今天下午去钓鱼。 ◆suggest sb.(宾格)/one’s doing sth. 意为“建议某人做某事”。如： You should suggest him/his giving up smoking. 你应该建议他放弃吸烟。 ◆suggestion n.建议，其后跟表语从句，从句中谓语动词用should+动词原形，should可省略。如： My suggetion is that the work(should) be started at once.我的建议是立即动工。 ◆suggest vt. “暗示，表明”。suggest+that从句 (表示此意思的时候，一般只考查这一个用法)。其宾语从句不能使用虚拟语气，而是使用陈述语气，即该用什么时态就用什么时态，只是要注意和主句suggest的时态对应即可。如： His words suggested (that) he was unhappy. 他的话暗示他不开心。 考点二 Candy told me that she used to be really shy and took up singing to deal with her shyness. 凯蒂告诉我她以前非常害羞，后来决定开始学习唱歌来克服她的害羞。（Unit 4 P27） 【用法归纳】（1）辨析deal with与do with deal with和do with 均可意为“对付；处理”。两者的区别如下： ◆deal with 意义很广，deal with sb.意为“对付”、“应付”，deal with sth.意为“处理”、“解决”、 “涉及” 等。如： They can deal with the problem. 他们能够处理这个问题。 ◆do with 表示“处置”、“忍受”、“相处”等。如： They found a way to do with the elephant.他们找到对付那头大象的办法了。 ◆do with 常与连接代词what连用，而deal with常与连接副词how连用。如： I don’t know how they deal with the problem.=I don’t know what they do with the problem.我不知道他们如何处理这个问题。 （2） 辨析used to do sth.,be/get/used to doing sth.与be used to do sth. used的用法 used to do sth.过去常常 做某事 be/get used to doing sth.习惯做某事，to为介词 be/get used to do sth.被用来做某事 be used for sth.被当做某事 be used as…被用作…… 如：I used to listen to music before sleep.我过去常常在睡觉前听歌。 I am used to traveling on holidays.我习惯了在假期旅游。 The trees planted is used to keep the soil from being blown away.这些种植的树是用来防止土壤被吹走的。 The machine is used for cutting things.这台机器是用来切割东西的。 English is used as a foreign language in China.在中国，英语被用作一门外语。
