In this paper, the author analyzes the characteristics of the sea fogs in the Qiongzhou Strait, where his ship operates, and the conditions and circumstances of ships navigating in fogs there; and notes the necessary preparations and precautions for safe navigation in such cases. Through the analysis of the influence factors and the navigation environment of the fog, the author puts forward some countermeasures to reduce the accidents of navigation.
