Abs tract: It reviewed current situation and development of environmental radiation monitoring strategy for
nuclear power plants in China and abroad. he problem s of nuclear emergency monitoring were analyzed inclu
ding concept of em ergency monitoring and scope, basic principles and requirem ents, monitoring items, strategy
of organization andmanagement, tmi ing of nuclear accidents and various stagesof emergency monitoring strategy,
infrastructure and facility requirements, sampling strategy, wanted nuclide and its analysis, and qualitymanage
ment strategy. Based on the analysis, emergency monitoringm ethodwas established for further study onmanage
ment of emergency monitoring data, econom ic cost analysis of emergency monitoring technology, development
and optmi ization of emergency sampling andmonitoring method, assmi ilation technology of emergencymonitoring
data, aswell as quality assurance of emergencymonitoring.
