In the recent years, aerosol pollution overPearlR iver Delta ( PRD) is getting w orse, and aerosol cloud can be seen all year round, causing the deterioration of visibility and air quality. A extreme clmi atic calam ity, terrible deterioration of visib ility and air quality over PRD, occurred from the end of Oct. to the begin n ing ofNov. 200 . The analyses show that the form ing reason mainly connected w ith the typhoon activity around the PRD, resulting in persisting sink ing airflow, them ixing layer been pressed and getting th in.
