教育论教案作业 Lesson Plan of Jefferson Magazine Teaching contents Describing the past and present of a place Description of students Junior 2 (30 students) Time date 8:00-8:45 am, Monday, April 27, 2013 Teaching objectives By the end of the lesson, students should be able to: 1、master a set of words describing towns and cities and use them properly; 2、understand and talk about things in the past and the present with the structure ‘there be’; 3、use interview strategies to find out information from others; 4、learn to be a good listener and brave to perform in English. Main structure 1、The past tense of ‘There be’ : there was/ were…. 2、the question form of ‘there be’: Was/ were there…? 3、the negation form of ‘there be’: There wasn’t/ weren’t…. Main vocabulary Words describing towns and cities, such as: church, museum, office building, town hall, pollution, traffic problems, graffito, tourist… Learning strategies Group cooperation in the role play; Listening to the interview; Building up confidence in performance. Teaching aids Tapes, PPT, blackboard, picture, white paper… Teaching procedures: Step1. Warm up(10mins) A)A game :“Do you know what it is?” a).students write the names of buildings they know on paper. b).they volunteer to describe the buildings with some simple word without the names of the buildings and let others guess what it is. B) Teacher summarizes, and writes the words on board. Step2. Learn the new passage(15mins) Students listen to the tapes and find the names of buildings on the town and cities. Teacher introduce the words by pictures and ppt. Students read the book with teacher and focus on the structure ‘there be’. Teacher introduce the past and present tense, the negation form and the question form of ‘there be’ and explain its using. Step3. A task: Use what is leaned to do an interview (10mins) A).Group-work. An interview. Work in groups of two and do the role play. One is to be reporter and another interviewee. then ask and answer the
