高一英语必修一Unit4 Earthquakes period1 Reading教学设计 所教班级 高一（23）班 授课教师 教学内容 高一英语必修一Unit4 Earthquakes period1 Reading 教学内容分析 本课是根据人教版高中新课标高一英语必修1 Unit4 Earthquakes阅读部分“A Night the Earth Didn’t Sleep”而设计的一节课，课文主要讲述了1976年7月28日凌晨发生在河北省东北部唐山市的大地震, 通过对震前征兆、地震发生和震后救援的具体描述，向我们再现了唐山大地震这场二十世纪人类遭受的最惨重的自然灾害。通过学习，学生能够了解更多关于地震的常识，面对突然来临的自然灾难，能够从容镇定，积极勇敢地面对并加强自我保护能力。 学生情况分析 高一（23）班学生英语学习态度较好,学习热情较高, 课堂氛围相对活跃，但大部分学生对英语基础知识的掌握不够扎实, 实际上存在一定基础知识漏洞。因此，学生在阅读这篇文本时，可能遇到对生词和长难句理解的困难，教师应该适当引导学生正确理解文章，但要注意发挥学生的主体作用，给予学生足够的机会在英语课堂上发言。 教学重难点分析 1) 培养学生在速读中获取文章大意，把握文章结构和在细读中获取细节的能力。 2）学生能够理解文本中较难的句子。 教学目标 提升学生在速读中获取文章大意，把握文章结构和在细读中获取细节的能力。 培养学生分析处理归纳文本信息的能力。 3）使学生能运用所学语言知识描述地震前兆、危害及震后援救。 教 学 过 程 设 计 Step I：Warming up (5 minutes) Listen to the song--we are the world and tell us your feelings. T: First of all, I’d like to show you a song. After listening, please tell me how do you feel? T: right! And how do you feel after listening to this song? You may feel sad, unhappy or pity. because we have seen many pictures about the damage of earthquakes. Many people lost their lives in the earthquakes. Have you heard of any earthquakes? 设计意图：通过欣赏一首英文歌曲并呈现关于地震的图片来导入新课，通过视觉和听觉感受地震的危害性。 Step II：Pre-reading (4 minutes) Discussion T: Please discuss with your desk mates what damage an earthquake will cause. You have 2 minutes to talk. Then I will ask someone to share. Is it clear? 设计意图：通过让学生谈论地震的危害来激活他们已有的知识。 Step III：While-reading（19 minutes） 1) Skimming for the main idea of the passage(1 mintue) T: Today we will learn a text “A Night the Earth didn’t Sleep.” Turn to page 26. When you see the title you may want to know why the earth didn’t sleep. Which night and what happened? Please read fast and find when, where and what of the event in one minute. 2) Skimming for the main idea of each part(3 minutes) Divide the whole passage into 3 parts and match the main idea of each part in 2 minutes. Try to find out the topic sentence of paragraph. part 1 after the earthquake part 2 before the earthquake part 3
