Beijing, 100120) Abstract: Taking the Xiongan Design Center project as an example, this paper discusses how the design-led general contracting system is implemented in the renovation project from an old workshop into the office building. From the initial project planning, feasibility study, design scheme, deepening design, economic calculation, construction drawing design, bidding and procurement, construction completion until the final acceptance of the project, the whole process is promoted by the mode of general contracting. An exclusive design strategy for this type of project is created, including design concept, method, materials and application of new technology.
