XIAOHONG ,formerly known as zhangnaiying(张乃莹)，was china’s famous writer. She had high literary achievements and she was the pioneer of modern Chinese literature, having profound impact on Chinese literature after the May Fourth Movement.For instance, The Hulan (《呼兰河传》)profoundly exposed the problems of the ?old society. 萧红生于1911年，一生为祖国的文学宝库留下了近百万字的珍品。鲁迅曾预言“萧红是中国最有前途的女作家”。柳亚子曾赞美她“有掀天之意气，盖世之才华”。Xiao Hong was born in 1911 and she left behind the collector‘s item of near?one million words to the literature treasure-house of the motherland in her whole life. Lu Xun had prophesied: “Xiao Hong has been the most promising （有前途的）authoress in China”. Liu Yazi had also praised her: “She has well spirit which can lift the sky, and was unparalleled（空前的） talent. 但时代的命运往往就是那个时代中一些杰出人物的命运。萧红一生命途多舛，受尽磨难，31岁就在香港病故。多才而短命，让人唏嘘。 But the destiny of era was often as same as the outstanding personages‘ destiny in that time. Xiao Hong was full of setbacks(挫折） and frustrations in her life, suffering from all kinds of tribulation（苦难）. She died in Hong Kong for illness only at 31 years old. She was versatile（多才多艺的） but short-lived.
