There be 句型讲解
一、 There be 句型的用法：
1. 表示某个 地方存在某物或某人， be 动词的单复数必须依 主语 的变
化而变化。
如： There is a table in the room.
There are many tables in the room.
2. 如果是并列主语， be 动词的单复数则用就近原则
如： There is a cat and some flowers in the room.
There are some flowers and a cat in the room.
3. 当主语为不可数名词 (tea 、water 、time 、money 、bread 、news 、
ink …) ，be 动词用单数
如 There is some ink （墨水） in the bottle.
4 ．注意某些单复数形式一致的名词： fish 、sheep 、deer 、Chinese 、
Japanese
以及自身表示复数意义的名词： people
如： There are some fish in the lake.
How many people are there in the room ?
5 、如果主语是复数名词， 却表示一笔金额或一个总数或表达一个单
个概念时，则仍用单数 be 形式，如：
There is five hundred dollars to pay.
There is still another 20 miles to drive.
There is duck and green vegetables for supper.

区别 : 表达一个人拥有某样东西时则用 have/has,
如 : 我有一张桌子。 I have a table.
There be 句型的一般疑问句
把“ There is/are... ”改为一般疑问句时 , 要把 Be 动词放在 there
之前 , 并将句号变问号。
结构分析： Be 动词 +there+ 主语……？
难点 : 句中出现的 some要改成 any 。
肯定回答为： Yes, there is/are.
否定回答为 : No, there isn ’t/aren ’t.
如： 1. There is an apple on the tree.
Is there an apple on the tree?
肯定回答 : Yes, there is. 否定回答 : No, there isn ’t.
2. There are five pens on the desk.
Are there five pens on the desk?
肯定回答 : Yes, there are. 否定回答 : No, there aren ’t.
3. There is somewater in the cup.
Is there any water in the cup?
肯定回答 : Yes, there is. 否定回答 : No, th
