Honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen, What is a successful junior middle school student? Everybody has his own interpretations just as I do. But there is one thing for sure, that is, a successful junior middle school student should be full of confidence and never give up. Once I believed I was a loser. Three years ago I entered a junior middle school. Each time I was home, I locked myself in my small bedroom. I was afraid of seeing my parents. One day, one of my schoolmates was invited to give a speech to us. To my surprise, he is disabled. I was deeply moved by his confidence and diligence. Later I learnt that he’s a successful businessman in my city. I have a sound body, and there is no excuse for me to be irresponsible for myself. With the teacher’s help, I made a daily schedule and stick to it. Every day I get up at 6 o’clock. I practice my skills for an hour. I work hard in the classroom to learn all my subjects in the day. Every night, after finishing my homework, I spend one hour on my major——accounting. Every month, my school holds all kinds of skill contests, such as counting money, playing abacus, calculating vouchers, doing practical accounts and so on. And to my happiness, I always can do a good job. I’m so proud of myself. Every summer vacation, I take a part-time job in the bank near my home to gain working experience. Fortunately, my efforts did work. One year ago, I got a Certificate of Accounting Professional. One month ago, I took a college entrance examination and twenty days ago, I learnt that I got 620 in the exam and I could be admitted into a key university. I’m so proud that I can have an opportunity to receive further education. When I think about my three years in my school, I am full of gratitude. I should thank my country. It offers me free education. Every junior middle school student can learn without any economic burden.
