Talk about how to live in harmony with nature. 教学过程 时间 教学环节 主要师生活动 10’ Step 1 Warm-up Teacher asks students to watch the video and answer the questions: What are the problems faced by Venice? Are there any similar cities or towns in China? Introduce one to the class. Teacher asks students to look at the pictures on Page 61 and answer the questions: How does the natural environment influence the lives of the local people in each picture? What is the natural environment of your hometown like? How is your life influenced by it? Teacher encourages students to have a further thinking about the following question: What can we do to help solve the environmental problems in our hometown? 2’ Step 2 Prediction Teacher asks students to observe the pictures of the Zhuang and Yao ethnic groups and talk about what they know about them. Teacher asks students to look at the title and the picture on Page 63 and make a prediction. 7’ Step 3 Read for main idea Teacher asks students to read the passage and check their predictions. Teacher asks students to read the passage again and summarize the main idea of each paragraph. Teacher asks students to think about the author’s purpose in writing the passage. 5’ Step 4 Read for information Teach
