Unit 2 动词不定式的用法 1.作动词宾语。常见动词有would like, want, help, learn, hope, decide, volunteer等等。 例句：We dont want to spend too much money. 2. 作宾语补足语，常见动词有ask, want, tell, invite, teach, advise等。 例句：She asked me to copy the text. 3. 作目的状语。 Claire turned his head around to look at him. 4. 作后置定语。 例句： Jack missed a great chance to make a lot of money. 5. 动词help及一些使役动词后面常常省略to 例句：My mother wont let me go to the movie. 动词不定式的用法 alone 和 lonely 1.alone既可以作副词，也可以作形容词；lonely 只能作形容词。作形容词时，alone表示客观上的单独的，没有感情色彩。而lonely表示主观上的或感情上的孤独的，寂寞的，有感情色彩。 例句：Though the old man lives alone, he never feels lonely. 2. lonely还可以表示偏僻的意思，修饰名词 例句： The man lives in a lonely small village. be used ... be used to do sth. 被用于做某事，不定式表目的。 The book is used to teach us how to write. be used for +n./v-ing表示被用于.... Stamps are used for sending letters. be used to doing sth. 表示习惯做某事 He is used to eating out all the time. repair, mend, fix repair 对象很广，从房屋，道路，机器到日常用品，是使受到一定损失的东西恢复形状或功能的意思。 例句：Who has repaired th broken leg of the table? mend 表示恢复某物原来的样子（包括用阵线来缝补），一般用于修补比较小的物品。 例句：This shirt is too old to mend. fix 用于需要重新调整物体的结构，把松散的部件固定，把各部位装配起来。 例句：Can you fix the broken chair? 1.
