一、部分抽象名词的一些习惯用法： of+抽象名词 相当于形容词 例句： The ancient painting is of great value（=very valuable). It is of great importance(=very important). on、with 、by 等+抽象名词 相当于副词例句： He passed the examwith ease(=easily). She knocked over the glass on purpose(=purposely). I took your pen by mistake(=accidentally). 3.抽象名词 +itself 或 all+抽象名词 相当于 very+形容词例句： Your mother is kindness itself(=very kind). The boy is all attention (=very attentive) in class. 二、名词的修饰语 只修饰可数名词的 ： few 、 dozen、 score(二十）、 a great/good many、a number of... 只修饰不可数名词的 ：little 、much、piece、a good/great deal of、a bit of、a+形容词 +amount of... 既可修饰可数名
