Step 2 Presentation Practice 1. Lead in. Have some Ss guess what I am going to do this weekend . Lead out the situation I ’ goingm to read books this weekend. I like reading books. My hobby is reading. Then teach the word hobby .Whats your hobby? Help the Ss answer with I like ?. 2. Ask and answer with the sentence patterns below. What are your hobbies? I like ? . Use the pictures to present the words dancing, singing, reading stories. Present the phonetics of the words and help Ss read and spell these words. 3. Show the pictures of some more verb phrases, then lead out playing football, swimming and doing kung fu . Present the sentences What are his / her hobbies? He/She likes playing football, swimming and doing kung fu. at the same time . Use the same way to practise the verb phrases in the sentence patterns.
