Phil, a weather reporter, was trapped in the small village named Punxsutawney by the storm after he covered the annual Groundhog Day festivities there. But when he woke up the next morning, nothing was changed: the same news, the same people and the same festival. He still stayed in the Groudhog day. At the beginning, Phil was surprised and shocked. When he learnt he could do anything without taking the consequences, he became excited and started trying something ueasonable. No matter what he did, the same day was repeated when the 6:00 am came. However, what made him very disappointed was that he couldn ’maket Rita, one of his workmates, fall in love with him. He became hopeless and chose to die, but he couldn ’ t kill himself. Finally, he decided to change the bored life. He began to be friendly to others, pay more attention to people around him, help others and learn something meaningful. Gradually, Phil was respected and admired by more and more persons in the village. At last, he won Rita ’ s heart and stepped into the nexthavedayto.I say that ’ s a wonderful film. The circuitous plot leaves people some space to think.We have no power to freeze the time, yet we are not able to change the time passed by. The film tells us a lesson: we can never take time for granted. Instead, we should respect everyday, live it with heart, do the significant things and never waste the beautiful time.
