主要用英文介绍柬埔寨国家基本情况以及渔业发展的简要概况

* In this presentation we will show you two main episodes. First, we’ll show you briefly about general situation and information of our country which would contain geography, demography, economic, political administrative, culture custom. And then, we will bring you to meet the fisheries and aquaculture status in the second episode. * Well, I do believe that most of you are already known our country. However, you will know clearly on the geographic of Cambodia. Cambodia located to the main land in South-east Asia where surrounded by Vietnam at the east, Lao Thailand at the north and west and gulf of Thailand at the South-west. Well, Cambodia covered on area of 181,035 square km with a terrestrial borderline 2,572km and coastline 445km lays on four province at the South-west. We have a few main fresh water system such as Tonle Sap lake, Tonle Sap river, Mekong river and Basac river occupied by 2% created a beautiful wetland covered in approximately 30% of the total territorial. Climate are disirable with tropical climate that created 2 main season; summer rainy season. If we do a transit from South-west straight to North-east, Cambodia geography could divided into four area; coastal, inundated area, lower plain and hill. * Cambodian is the name in Latin and Khmer is the origin name by both of these term refers to nationality. Cambodia holds a very low population. In 2016, it has around 15 million and haft with the annual growth rate 1.63%. * Compared to other countries you might surprise that our country is rich in holiday. As I remember for the previous years, holiday occupied about 1/12. However, In this part I just show you some major festival events. It is, there are Lunar New Year which start for every 14th to 16th of April. Because our ancestors decided to take this period due up on to the people are free from harvesting season.
