7A Unit6 Welcome to the unit 说课稿
Good morning, everyone! I’m happy to talk about my teaching ideas of Welcome to the unit in Unit 6. Three parts will be included in my speech: Analysis of the teaching material, Teaching and learning methods and Teaching procedures.
Part 1: Analysis of the teaching material
1. Status and functions
This lesson is a type of dialogue lesson, which focused on the topic of food, such a topic is related to our daily life, so it is easy to arouse the interests of the students . Besides, it’s helpful to improve the students’ communicative ability.
2. Analysis of the students
The students in Grade 7 will show great interest in this lesson. They are curious, active, and fond of game, competition, and various activities. They enjoy learning through cooperation in a relaxing atmosphere. Most names of the food are familiar to them. However, some students are not familiar with some new words of the food such as beef, lemon, carrot and so on. Besides, the words of hamburger, health, watermelon are hard for them to pronounce. Some students have never seen or eaten the food in the lesson. So I will help them to overcome these difficulties.
3. Important and difficult points
To learn some words about food and sentences about likes and dislikes.
To learn how to express their likes and dislikes in their daily lives.
4. Teaching objectives
So, I establish three different levels of teaching objectives.
1) Knowledge objectives are to get students
①To revise old vocabulary and learn new vocabulary about food.
②To talk about likes and dislikes with regard to food.
③and to use adjectives to describe different tastes.
2) Ability objectives are
①To make the new conversations using the target languages.
②and foster the ability to speak ,listen, read, and study by themselves.
3)And, three Moral objectives will be set like this:
①To arouse students’ interest and self-confidence of speaking English.
