All Rights Reserved. 2 ePolicy Orchestrator 5.1 Essentials First off, you can upgrade only specific ePolicy Orchestrator versions of 4.5 and 4.6 software to version 5.1. In particular, for ePO 5.1, the minimum upgrade versions are: ePO 4.5.7, 4.6.4 (meant for FIPS users), 4.6.6, 5.0.0, and 5.0.1. Any other versions of ePO cannot be upgraded to ePO 5.1. As for any other previous upgrade, to successfully complete the process, you need to prepare the environment and make sure you have the minimum ePolicy Orchestrator version. You need to perform the following tasks: • Review the unsupported products list. • Back up all ePolicy Orchestrator databases. • Back up the entire ePolicy Orchestrator directory. • Disable any remote Agent Handlers in your environment. • Turn off Windows updates before you begin your upgrade. • Make sure that you have read, understood, and complied with the requirements and recommendations detailed in Installation requirements and recommendations before you begin the upgrade. ©2013 McAfee, Inc.
